SIGNIFICANT ACHIEVEMENTS

• • Successfully grew a grass-roots culture change movement and network across the global United Nations. 

  • Organized a UN System-wide innovation challenge culminating in a global virtual pitching event to senior managers, resulting in the endorsement of 3 key initiatives to transform business processes.

  • Coordinated the development of a protocol to address hybrid cyberattacks on the UN and the establishment of a cross-functional agile network to respond to cyber threats that directly affect the safety and security of personnel, facilities, infrastructure, or organizational reputation.

  • Developed the strategy for the business innovation hub which aims to create a culture that is receptive to taking measured risk and nurturing creativity through comprehensive culture change and outreach in a highly bureaucratic, risk-averse environment.

  • Coordinated the development of experiential learning programmes integrating human-centred design, design thinking and agile methodologies to foster organizational agility and innovation capabilities across multiple UN entities.

  • Developed and led the implementation of a global communications strategy for the new technology strategy of the UN, ensuring the success of various programmes globally. 

  • Established an entirely new team for strategic communications in the UN Office of Information and Communications Technology, including developing the vision and mission, defining and onboarding resources, coordinating with others, including senior leadership, and establishing channels, standards, and frameworks.

  • Branded two major internal strategic programmes within the United Nations, and revolutionized corporate communications in the global organization.

  • Established a global network of communications and change agents for ICT to expand the capabilities of the small team at headquarters and the reach of limited resources, thereby ensuring the achievement of strategic objectives. 

  • Spearheaded the adoption of innovative web-based tools to manage the project to implement the UN Enterprise Resource Planning system. These were highly praised by the Board of Auditors and made a significant impact on how the $350 million project was run, contributing to its successful rollout. 

  • Modernized project management, change management, internal collaboration, information-sharing, and stakeholder engagement in the UN through the implementation of innovative approaches and tools. 

  • Designed and launched the U.S. Navy’s inaugural online NewsStand, transforming global public relations and fostering real-time audience engagement.
